Tell Us about Your Interest

Everyone has an interest, hobby, and life/career experience. Consider sharing yours with Osher at W&M members as a volunteer instructor.

The first step is to complete an Interest to Teach (ITT) form. All instructor applicants are asked to complete this survey, which introduces us to you, your interest, background, and course idea(s). The ITT is not a full course proposal. It is simply a tool to for our Curriculum Committee to get to know more about you and your course idea. Thus, please only complete the Interest to Teach form one time only. A member of our Curriculum Committee will contact you in a week or so to discuss your application and answer your questions. If our program is a fit, we will email you and invite you to submit a course proposal for an upcoming semester.

Watch for a Request for Course Proposal

Requests for course proposals are by email invitation only according to the calendar below (dates subject to change). A proposal must be submitted for each course to be offered (including existing courses that are being repeated in an upcoming semester).

The Fall 2026 course proposal window is closed. The next opportunity for approved instructors to submit is for the Spring 2027 semester.
