About Class Locations & Parking

A successful semester starts with knowing your way around.

The Osher office location and the “Discovery 3 Classroom” are in Williamsburg’s New Town development at 5330 Discovery Park Blvd. Be sure to drop by and say hello – or we’ll see you soon because sooner or later you’ll have a class at “Disco 3.”

The beautiful and historic campus of William & Mary is the site of many of our classes. Like most university campuses, parking is at a premium. Knowing your way around and having a plan for how to get there and where to park will make class day more enjoyable.

For Campus Center classrooms (Colonial Echo, Little Theatre, Room 159), and landmarks like the Wren Building, Tucker Hall, and the Hearth Memorial, you may find free parking on a nearby street. More likely, the most convenient parking will be a Colonial Williamsburg public lot like P5 or P6, where you may pay a small fee using the Passport parking app. Some members like parking at the Williamsburg Regional Library, and enjoy walking the few blocks to class on campus.

Classes at Swem Library on campus are always a treat, but be sure to pre-plan for parking when visiting Swem.

At the School of Education (SOE), off of Monticello & Treyburn, an Osher parking permit allows you to park in the student lots, which is very convenient to SOE classrooms and conference rooms (like the Holly Room and Matoaka Woods Room). Learn more about buying an Osher parking permit here.

Off-campus locations (Williamsburg Landing, Colonial HeritageShai Rugs) have free surface or street parking. The Williamsburg Regional Library has street parking, lot parking, and a deck; space may be limited at peak times.

The City of Williamsburg offers several parking lots for visiting Colonial Williamsburg venues. Fees vary by the lot and time of day; most offer a short period of free parking. Check colonialwilliamsburg.org for details.

Regardless of your class’ location, it’s a good idea to plan ahead and give yourself enough time to arrive 10-15 minutes before class begins. (For online Zoom classes, too!)

Once you know your way to class, we are certain you will thoroughly enjoy Osher's one-of-a-kind learning experience. Here’s to a great semester!
